Research from Microsoft Advertising shows that almost 1 in 3 (30%) of UK families regularly use tablets or smartphones to talk to one another at home, reports Media Week. It also found that 19 percent often use social networks to communicate with each other at home, 17 percent use text messages or instant messaging, and 9 percent use video calls. The survey questioned 1,517 families on how they use internet-enabled devices at home and was conducted by research agency Sparkler.
